I think what i can learn from getting a grade unbefitting of a business module is that I shouldnt underestimate a biz mod ever again. The whole process of taking operations management in the previous sem was really BAD. As both sebas and shunz mentioned, it's really the knowledge gained in the modules that really count. Taking a minor is not just for title sake, it's to properly learn and develop a (minor) business mind throughout the journey. It's really fucking stupid to think of s/u-ing the module just for the sake of a chance into getting my name into the dean's list. Dean's list must not be the priority, it's only a bonus. So, i shall keep the module graded with a pinch of salt; i totally deserve the drop in my cap for fooling around.
FUAHHHHH dat really takes alot off my mind. I really hate dilemmas. They make you think nonstop and it brings with it headache!!! just like choosing whether to wear a Lacoste or Fred Perry polo before going out.
These past 3 weeks of holidays have been very very fun, even though it's abit tiring sometimes such that i got sorethroat and fever for a couple of days.

my morale is REALLY REALLY low now.
I woke up this morning at 7am. rushed as usual to sch and when i left my house....
MY HAVAIANAS IS MISSING.
so confused yet DAMN PISSED at the same time coz the thought of random thief came into my mind. WHY WOULD PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT TO STEAL A WORN-OUT and DIRTY SLIPPERS (even though it's still considered rare in sg and it's pretty of coz). haiya very shitty can. my slippers have been placed outside my house for like 4 months already and NOW THEN KENA STOLEN??
then i just grabbed my old crocs slippers and ran to the busstop. i reached the BTC busstop at 8.35am. i was like "shit the busstop was empty, btc is gone." so i waited. until 8.50am i was wondering where the hell is the BTC coz the next 1 shouldve arrived by now. but probably due to the rain, the traffic was bad. Anyway so at 9am, 5 minutes juz before the bus arrived, i realized another horrifying thing.
IM EARLY BY 1 HOUR.
my god i cant believe my blunderness ok. i actually made myself wake up 1 hour earlier ahead of my normal schedule (my lesson was supposed to be at 10am). and now even after wasting time in central library com checking facebook and blogging, i still got 15 more minutes to idle.i cant mug coz i keep thinking about my slippers nowww.
and my lunch at macs was cancelled. URGHHH i've been longing to eat macs for days already la.

Amazingly, we get to watch 1-hour worth of Jap drama for our Jap Studies lecture. we were like "WAHOOO FINALLY. this is juz THE japanese studies we want to be enlightened on". The lecture was mostly on the issue of gender in Japan, and the significance of the local pop culture there. We're shown interesting clips of SHINGO-MAMA and IKKO and also the lecturer's analysis (really envy her.. she gets to do a thesis on something so interesting). At the end of her lecture, she posed us with a very interesting point of view: gender is not natural/inherent. I was like WOWed ok. Everyone in the whole wide world should freaking be like her- OPEN-MINDED.
Anyway the show shown was LAST FRIENDS:
Last Friends
We were only shown like the SPECIAL EPISODE, which according to Karin was not really a new episode at all coz it consisted of FLASHBACKS only. It gave a pretty good summary of the show nonetheless, a gist good enough to capture the essence of the drama.
The show pretty much questions the watchers on the issue of identity. The main character, Ruka, is a girl who feels uncomfortable with the female society norm (yea. lesbian. but dammmmm CHIO la). There is also a guy who is scared of women because of he was 'molested' by her older sis when he was a child, and falls for Ruka. But Ruka likes her high school classmate, who has a boyfriend in the domestic violence prevention, who ironically abuses her.
Complicated hor. the main point shouldnt be how trashy the complicated relationships sound, but that we shouldnt distinct ourselves so clearly as to who we are supposed to be in this world. As someone who feels closer to science, this sounds absurd as boys have penis, girls have vagina right after birth. How can a girl be manly, and vice-versa right? Quoted from the quote by Elin Diamond in my lecture notes: "when gender is alieanated or foregrounded, the spectator is enabled to see a sign system as a sign system- the appearance, words, gestures, ideas, attitudes, etc., that comprises the gender lexicon become so many illusionistic trappings to be put on or shed at will". Sounds cheem rite. My lecturer's point of view is that "Gender comes into being as we do it, through the reiteration of a set of socially established norms that are enacted on and through the body by corporeal signs like acts, gestures, and behaviour", which is VERY interesting and challenges the perceived norm in this world, especially Singapore.
I still got so much i can rant on this issue. SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING THAN VAPOR LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM AND NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS OK!!! But haiz too bad must go back to my work. ciaossu
